The Kime family is synonymous with the production of quality Brangus cattle since 1979. Amaroo is a 12,000ha property outside Nebo where the Kime family runs an operation of 800 Brangus breeders and their progeny. Three single sire herds operate within the herd that produces 45 to 50 bulls per year. A select group of these bulls are used lightly within the herd before they are offered for sale. Bulls are marketed at the Central Brangus Classic and privately.

The Amaroo cattle and their owners have earned an enormous reputation through an impressive record of victories in carcase, prime cattle championships and bull sales throughout central and northern Queensland. This is only achieved through constant high selection criteria and evaluation of all facets of their cattle enterprise. In 2007 at the inaugural Nebo Prime Show and Sale the Kime family took home the champion pen grass fed females with their four tooth entries and took home a first placing in the six tooth pen of steers. This was the first time in nine years that the prefix had shown cattle, claiming these wins with only two pens exhibited from a field of 550 head.

Outside sire introductions are sourced from many of the nation’s leading Brangus outlets.
