Southwell Brangus was founded in 2005 and is owned and operated by Alex Dodson in and around Rockhampton. As a stud operation it runs approximately 100 stud cows in three single sire herds and also runs a commercial operation of breeders, replacement females and steers.

Southwell Brangus focuses on commercial attributes of the beef industry which is passed through to the stud operation of Structural and reproductive soundness, early maturity and quiet and practical cattle. With these attributes in mind Southwell has purchased many females, sires, semen and embryos from some of the leading Brangus studs in Australia and America to produce cattle that will endeavour to make there imprint on the Australian Beef Industry.

Southwell sells Approximately 20 bulls per year through auction sales and paddock sales and all bulls sell with a 100% guarantee.
